double challenge card
So here's my entry for both this weeks tilda & co challenge 'that's torn it' and stamp something's
'sketch something' challenge. Didn't realise i'd missed this weeks tilda until yesterday when i went blog hopping and saw everyones pieces and realised i had no idea what they were for lol. So i used rough tilda watercoloured in, 2 vellum flowers with glittery brads, a butterfly dome sticker, papers from moody blues and some blue gems to decorate the edges :) so better late than never!

Door hanger
So this is my entry for this fortnights sweet sugar challenge where the challenge was to make something with sugar nellie images that isn't a card... so i made my OH a door hanger to say he's in the garage as he regularly disappears off there without telling anyone and complains when the posty takes parcels back to the post office as no one answers the fron door, so he's going to hang it on the front door when he's in the garage now so he doesn't miss his mail lol. I used an image sent to me by donna (thanks!), some of the bargain backing paper i bought the other week, some blue and yellow gems, green ribbon and then i handwrote the text with blue and black felt tips :)
Birthday cards
Two birthday cards made for my mums order that she made last night.
- Golf card for my uncle who has come out as a real golfer as he's gotten older. I used the golfer george image that i watercoloured in. Used an image of a golf quilt as the background. Happy birthday scripted sentiment mounted and made 3d with foam pads and 8 green gems to finish off the edges.
- Tilda birthday card for my mum's neighbour's birthday. Not quite the vase of flowers card she asked for but i couldn't get that idea to work, so i picked the tilda image of tilda with a bouquet and watercoloured it in. Happy birthdays entiment with a watermark bird in the background mounted on pink tissue paper. Background paper from the kate knight set A Hint Of Pink. 5 light pink gems to finish off the empty spaces. A small and large beige papermania flower embellishment with black and white stripe brad to add a 3d element to the card and to finish the bottom of the card off.
more scapbook pages
So i made another 3 digi scrapbook pages; one of me at uni in our 737, one of the OH and i at our venture photo shoot at christmas and the third is a picture of the glider i used to fly, it's my dad's.
I used the kaboodle doodle papers for the backgrounds andd flower embellishments, used a few shabby princess embellishments; the ribbons, brads and stamps to finish off the pages :)

Butterfly keychain
I thought i should start using some of my chamrs again as i have a tray in my beadbox full of them and they are lovely.... so i chose a little butterfly and some pearly beads, a blue one just to give it a little bit of coloured and some curved tube beads for the side dangly bits... think i'm going to start making these again as little nick nack birthday presents to send in cards to people as it's just a little something nice that is still useful in some way :)
Pirate edwin ATC
So here's my entry for this weeks tilda & friends ATC challenge 'beside the sea'.... i picked the pirate edwin image, skull and crossbones and the mini skull and crossbones for him to sit on and to decorate the top corners. The backing paper is part of the lovely bundle sent to me by Donna. Not quite the seaside but pirates live at sea, so perhaps he's staring out to sea from his ship who knows.....

Patterned papers card
So this is my entry for this weeks cute card thursday
challenge which was to use patterned papers for a chance to win some kaboodle doodles downloads... so i used some of the burgandy flowers free download papers to make this card, a watercoloured lilli image, paper flower, lilac flower brad and a pinky red birthday sentiment made 3d with some foam pads :)
Another topshop replica piece
So here's a piece of jewellery i made based on something i saw in topshop, the topshop version uses different size beads so they gradually get bigger towards the centre but i only had a single size of bead so mine is slightly different...but hey i saved myself a stash of money for something that doesn't look much different and no one else will be wearing mine so i won't be the same as someone out wearing the topshop version :)

button bracelet
Here's my latest jewellery make a button bracelet, made from an idea i saw in topshop. So thanks topshop for your madly overpriced jewellery inspiring me to go buy the bits to make a similar bracelet for less than half the price! They had a neon shell button bracelet, with two dozen tiny buttons and they wanted £8 for it! I went out and bought the buttons and spent £3.35 on them, recycled a clasp from a broken bit of jewellery and used up a spare piece of tigertail from the same broken bit of jewellery...so mine aren't neon but hey mine are bigger, bolder and no one else is going to have a button bracelet quite like mine :) so next....to make another copy of some topshop jewellery i wouldn't separate with £12 for lol.....
doubled up challenge
So here's my entry for this weeks papertake weekly challenge 'masculine' and dotties world challenge 'a recipe', so iv used some embossed white card, moody blue backing paper, a piece of ribbon, one glittery brad, george the diver image and a handwritten diving quote/joke that reads 'young male seeks female dive buddy, must have own boat. please send photo of boat!' so i think it fits both requirements quite nicely :)

SBS 18 challenge #3
Without trying to give too much away about the challenge i'm setting for the coming weeks SBS18 challenge, this is my sample piece... it's my first attempt at digital scrapbooking... i used photoshop cs to do allt eh ahrd work for me lol.... a fab digi kit called moody blues by shabby princess and a photo of my OH doing a competiton finish at last summers Junior Nationals gliding competition in his glider.... so everyone pop along to the challenge blog 2mo to see what my challenge is :)
...and whey this also fits perfectly with the new arty girlz challenge for this week :)

Beaded dog card
ok so this card is a double up for two of this weeks challenges...daring cardmakers and lots to do... so the themes were beads and man's best friend... i've used some textured beige cardstock, brown watercolour pencils, a dog image taken from an old birthday card and some wooden beads from some old jewellery :)
circle of friends award
Thanks jacqui for this one...just hope u aren't implying tha we all look like this ;) lol...don't think i could handle those heels anyway lol... hmm who to pass this onto... all those on my blogroll who visit me often and everyone that keeps coming back to see what craziness has happened each week, so please take this yourselves you all deserve it :)
Wedding card
Wedding card made for the scrummy stash cafe challenge for their wedding bells challenge, as june is the start of the wedding season...and.. this can go to some people who i know who happen to be getting married abroad sometime at the end of june/early july time, nothing too fancy as i wouldn't want to make their present (exploding box) look any less fabulous than it is lol
Completed chipboard purse
Woo finally got it finished today! So now im covered in dry glue and sawdust from sanding off the top edges but im over the moon with how great this has come out! Dont think im goignt o make another one in a hurry but im really hoping my mum likes it as it's going to be her belated birthday present, safer to hand deliver it a few months late than have it destroyed by the royal mail's clumsiness!
To make this i used: stitched effect purple glitter ribbon, old chipboard, mulberry paper, silkscreen printed cardstock, lots of super strong glue, double sided tape, a keyring and a variety of my OH's tools lol..... Guess i could enter this as a second entry for the arty girls challenge as it's made using the recycled chipboard also used on my little notebook! Anyway time to go deglue myself and my latop keyboard lol.....
recycled chipboard notebook
So in the process of making the chipboard purse shown below i ended up with some scrap bits of chipboard so i decided to use them to make the covers for a notebook.... Going to make this my entry for the arty girlz recycling challenge as the chipboard started off life as the backing for a piece of furniture, long ago destroyed now... the backing paper is some scraps leftover from an old project and the ribbon is some cut offs from the chipboard purse....a nice little distartcion from the problems i was having with the purse

chipboard purse
Just started working on my mums birthday present, ok her birthday was last weekend but as i don't see her till august i thought i'd make her something worth waiting that bit longer for.... i found this idea a few months agao whilst blog hopping on Yard sale kind of luck... it's a fab blog with oh so many fab ideas that i'd love to have a go at myself. I got so frustrated with the pieces of chipboard trying to get them all lined up that i decided to make the tag first lol as it was much simpler and didn't involve needing 3 hands to glue it together... the sentiment is pretty much true of many aspects of life throught the recent years for mum and i, so it seemed like a fab tag to have on the bag. As u can see the bag isn't too far from finished it just needs; some sanding down, the purple paper stuck round the top edge and some stitched ribbon to make the handles............. so another couple of hours and some cursing at it should be sufficient lol!
Wee Weezi
Wee Weezi ATC made for the cuddly buddly ATC challenge. This months challenge was to make an ATC using the little sketch of the dragon provided, so here's my take of it.... shame i came up with a better idea after i'd coloured it green but oh well.... it could have been spyro...but im still pretty happy with this quick job :)

Birds/feathers ATC
This weeks tilda ATC challenge was to make an ATC using birds or feathers....so here's mine, using tilda images i was sent as part of a swap with foam pads to make them 3d and the backing paper is another funky fairys piece from the add on pack for doodlementals...oh and a few gems just to add a little sparkle to it, i have a new pack so i've got to start using them again :)

Another award today!
Boudoir birthday
Birthday card made for one of my OH's sisters for her birthday, she's a bit pink and girly so this seemed the most suitable design i could find at such short notice...her birthday is this weekend!
I used a decoupage image sent to me by a friend so i can't quote the original source, then i used one of the flower tags i have and attached it to the card using a deep pink glittery brad...simple, quick but quite an effective card i think :)
2nd award :)

No backing papers!
This weeks funky fairys challenge was quite difficult lol, not to use any backing papers or embellishments, everything had to be stamped, drawn, painted etc! Wow after a lot of thought today at uni i realised i could finally try some foam stamps that i bought in the papermill sale ages ago for the background. So 3 dove stamps later i had a background, then i just watercolour doodled some red to make it more vibrant. A lovely pennyblack hedgie stamp all watercoloured in too and mounted on a little scrap of plain red paper and foam pads to add depth :)

SBS Challenge 2
Ok so the challenge hasn't been announced yet so i not going to give too much away yet but here's my example piece for the 2nd SBS challenge.... have a look at the challenge blog on wednesday to see the theme and join in :)
Beaded tilda card
Happy birthday card made for this weeks tilda & co challenge 'glorious beads'. Made from; papermill a4 yellow card and blue ribbed paper, hobbycraft backing paper for the dotted stripe, a handful of blue and gold gems, metallic blue paper (a gift from a lovely docrafts person) for mounting and the tag, felt butterfly embellishment, happy birthday peel off, a coordinating watercoloured tilda image, silver doodled background for the ribbed paper as it looked too plain without anything there..... and finally some gold pearl like beads that i recycled to make the chain for the tag :)

Glorious Green Tilda ATC Challenge
Here's my attempt at this weeks Tilda & friends ATC challenge 'Glorious Green'. I've used some of my scrap silk screen printed cardstock as the background, a scrap of wavy ribbon and some gems from a kit i dug out this afternoon. Not an image i've used before, not too sure about the blonde hair, shall have to try some other hair colours....but hey it's a simple and sweet ATC
SBS 18 first challenge
So here's my card for the first SBS challenge as set by vicky. It's a card to send to my mum to fill with some nice words, yes she will be suspicious as to why i'm sending it to her especially as it's her birthday at the weekend... but all of this is in memory of vicky's mum who died a few years ago. I've used a new pink petticoat image from the yoo hoo zip kit and once again coloured it with watercolour pencils, no i'm not bored of them yet ;)
and whey this counts as my card for this weeks papertake weekly challenge as well! :)

Kitten Card
So here's the card i've made this evening for my cousins birthday, she'll be 12 and her present this year is a kitten so this card seems apt... and i gave me a chance to try out some of the pennyblack images i've accquired recently... still coloured it in with watercolour pencils as that's my weapon of choice at the moment... and the funky background paper was some left overs from a scrapbook i made ages ago, forgot i had that paper but it goes so well with the lime green card :)
SBS 18 yahoo group
hey ladies just set us up a group and left u all a comment to fetch some details from u. just drop me an email and i'll invite u into the group etc :)

Funky Fairys blog candy
so funky fairys are hosting blog candy at the moment and it's so simple to enter yourself for a chance to win it... all you have to do is leave a comment saying what your fairy name would be and what you would do....
Spitfire birthday card
So here's the birthday card i've made for my grandad, a vast improvement on the aircraft card i made him last year...but hey i was only just starting out for his birthday last year! I've decoupaged a spitfire image and built up blue strip paper layers onto blue marble effect card and i'm very impressed with the result :)
Think this card can count to the Scrummy stash cafe challenge and possibly arty girlz as both have the theme of 'travel' this week....though this doesn't have the place that arty girlz also mentioned....so lets see what happens...
Daring Cardmakers clocks challenge
Tilda & co black and white challenge
Shame this challenge didn't come around the other week when i did a black and white dotty tilda card for the funky fairy challenge but oh well..... here's my attempt at this week's card... made from a piece of A5 white card, a funky fairys background paper, 4 white gems and a watercoloured tilda image with a simple background design that i doodled :)

pearl and hematite necklaces
....In the spirit of my obsession of needing matching jewellery i made the matching necklaces for the 2 pearl and hematite bracelets that i posted during the week.... i kept the heart one to match my bracelet and gave the other to the birthday girl who got the bracelet as a present yesterday so she got a present from me today on her real birthday too :)
