S hoop earrings

Here's another creation from todays Lebeado trip.. I saw someone making something similar yesterday when I went in and thought I'd like somethign like that for me.. it all falls together with the scrabble tile set that I'm designing in my head at the mo lol.
I've used:
  • 2 silver earring wires
  • 2 silver 30mm hoops (lebeado)
  • Silver jumprings
  • Peruvian ceramic S cube beads (lebeado)
  • 4 Czech Tiff AB black beads
  • 4 Czech Tiff AB red beads

You really can't appreciate the Czech beads from the photo as you lose the effect on them, they have an effect almost like that of petrol where they change colour as the light hits them.

Ice blue necklace

This piece has been sitting unfinished for over a week now and it's really annoyed me! The beads I picked to go with the pendant looked awful together when I went to put the necklace together last night.. so i went to hobbycraft and bought some ribbon, still hated the beads though... so today I went back to Lebeado (got some belated birthday money from OH's parents) and had another wander around clutchign my pendant and ribbon to find some suitable beads.
So in the end I used:
  • Sky blue ribbon (hobbycraft)
  • Blue foil lampwork round beads (hobbycraft)
  • Metal patterned round spacer
  • Mosaic aqua glass pendant (lebeado)
  • Mosaic aqua 8mm round beads (lebeado)
  • Silver clasp, chain and jumprings

Jaime's candy

Jaime's wedding anniversary is coming up soon and she's celebrating with some yummy blog candy... so why not pop on over to her blog :)

Project cheer up mum

So as you all know I lost a friend earlier this week, I didn't mention that this lady happened to be my mum's best friend and an old work colleague...she was pretty devasted as you can imagine... so I thought she could with a bit of a pick me up. On my trip to Lebeado today (yes i go there regularly lol) I bought a few extra bits that weren't on my shopping list to make a creation that might just put a smile on her face for a while.
She's hooked on purple at the moment so I scouted around the shop, with the many jars bundled in my arms as always, looking for the right purples to compliment the beautiful pendant I'd picked before I thought out the necklace itself lol. I didn't want to overcrowd it as the chunky beads are quite heavy so I've used little knots to add interest to the empty spaces of the cord.
I've used:
  • Paua flower pendant
  • Purple seude cord
  • 2 Amethyst foil round beads
  • 4 filigree burnished beads
  • Silver clasp and chain
  • Silver jumprings
