Blue, brown and pearls

And finally I have the spare time to do some non DT challenge work!

So this poor bare cardboard S has been sat on my desk for a month or so now waiting for something to happen and finally it has... I finally got inspired to work on it when I saw this weeks Colour Create challenge 'Blue and brown, extra options lace and pearls' ok so I didnt use lace as the only lace i have is black and it looked wrong.. and it also fits the Lots To Do theme 'Alter It'.
I've used:
  • 3d cardboard mache S
  • Brown dotty paper (Anna Stemplewska)
  • 2 paper blue flowers (poppicrafts)
  • 2 x 6mm pearls
  • Lots of mini pearls
  • Lots of patience lol
  • Hot glue

Alter Something.... my new mirror!

This weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge fits in beautifully with a project I planned in my head yesterday... the challenge is 'Alter Something'.... Yesterday I nipped into Ikea to have a looksie at the new fabric range they have in and I found a square wooden mirror laying around and i thought it might be quite useful to have so I can look at jewellery on as I'm making it... then I found a dress in primark for £1 and the fabric was perfect for covering my little mirror!
I've used:
  • Ikea 97p wooden mirror
  • Blue bows and dots fabric- primark dress
  • Chunky white buttons- primark dress
  • Chunky white satin ribbon
  • Small white buttons
  • 2 blue buttons
  • Large white flower
  • Glass pearls
  • Tigertail
  • Hot gluegun

Altered shop jewellery

So during my time down south i've bought a fair few new clothes and now I've got the problem I just don't have the jewellery to match..so I had to do some altering of shop bought jewellery as I couldn't get new beads in time for going out in one of my new tops 2mo night... I added pink beads and changed some of the black beads and reorganised the necklace so there wasn't too much of one colour too close together... and now I have spare beads where I removed certain colours from the necklace :)
I've used:
  • DP necklace
  • H&M earrings
  • Pink glass bicone beads
  • Jumprings
  • Recycled eyepins

Altered Drawers

Last week's Arty Girlz challenge is 'Alter it', so to get mine in just in time i've literally just finished it! Here's my set of Ikea drawers that I bought last night to organise some more of my stash, i'm fed up of digging through deep plastic drawers so perhaps little wooden drawers will make it easier.
I've used:
  • Ikea Firma drawers
  • Creme Caramel and Rock Salt emulsion paint
  • Stazon ink
  • Doodle heart stamp
  • Swirl and corner swirl stamps
