Wedding Card

When Mum came over to go to the rugby match the other weekend she realised she needed a wedding card for a friend, for the following friday...good thing I have a stash of cards ready for these short notice orders!

I had a card I'd started at a Stampin' Up training day that I didn't like the embellishments that had been used on the sample so I just stamped the sentiment and background and left the card blank for whatever occasion I may need a congratulations card for... well a wedding seems a pretty good opportunity to use this card.

I used my favourite wedding stamp (not a Stampin Up item) and left it colourless to keep the card subtle. We then decided the card needed a little bling around the edges so I added a few SU Basic Pearl Jewels for good measure.

Elephant Make Up Bag

Been trying to get myself a little organised on the birthday presents front, a few ladies I call friends will be getting fabric goodies for their presents this year....

I started with the smallest fabric make as it can be the most frustrating to get right, pesky zips never sew in quite how I want them the first time...

Saw this elephant fabric as a fat quarter at a craft show and just had to have it, made this make up bag/pouch from it and still have loads left over, think I can squeeze another 2 pouches out of it too :)

Love the bright colours of the fabric and the lining fabric inside is a coordinating red flowery patterned fabric...forgot to sew one of my homemade labels in before I sewed the lining together so I shall have to handstitch it in before I give the pouch away as a present...

Next up is a few tote bags for friends and perhaps matching make up pouches too...

Anniversary Card

Running a bit behind on blog posting again..my old laptop has died, motherboard fried so it's off for data rescue at the mo, so no I'm starting over with a new laptop and have lost all the photos of projects I was going to share :(

Here's the card I made my boyfriend for our 5 year anniversary at the end of March...

Been waiting to use this Tatty Teddy stamp for ages and this seemed the perfect occasion to ink it up. Instead of colouring the hearts in I decided to heat emboss them with red powder instead. For the background I embossed white card but then flipped it over so the card had a debossed effect, which is really effective with this embossing folder. Even managed to get turquoise (my fave colour) involved with the glittery turquoise card I used for the main card body.
