Crafty Creations Challenge #4




Wow so here we are week 4 of the Crafty Creations Challenge and it's another fab sketch challenge by Jaime... and she's including another yummy prize!

I made a moving house card for my mum's friend, my mum is the pickiest person to make cards for as she knows what she wants but can't quite explain it to you when she wants she to make it lol....

Love charm earrings



So last week I spent a day in Edinburgh and no trip anywhere wold be complete without trying to find a craft shop....and I did, I found The Little Bead Shop on the outskirts of Edinburgh so I bought a set of goodies to make myself an Edinburgh project...

Crafty Creations Challenge #3

So here's my DT piece for this weeks Crafty Creations challenge. It's a birthday card that I made for my mum's hubby for his birthday on monday.

Alter Something.... my new mirror!



This weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge fits in beautifully with a project I planned in my head yesterday... the challenge is 'Alter Something'.... Yesterday I nipped into Ikea to have a looksie at the new fabric range they have in and I found a square wooden mirror laying around and i thought it might be quite useful to have so I can look at jewellery on as I'm making it... then I found a dress in primark for £1 and the fabric was perfect for covering my little mirror!

Fabric bead jewllery set



So here's a little project that really tested my patience for a couple of days... i hate glue it takes forever to dry! I saw the idea while blog hopping... I can't remember whose blog I saw it on first, I've seen a couple of versions now so I'm sorry I haven't credited anyone for inspiring me...

Curby grip earrings



So here's a lil something that I whipped up the other day after seeing someone do something similar on their blog... I hate these hair grips they are just so useless on my hair as it's far too thick for them to hold, so I was more than happy to recycle some of them into something I'll actually use... now what to do with the other 98 grips I ahve lying around my wardrobe shelf lol...

  • 2 black curby hair grips
  • 4 x 10mm glass pearls
  • 2 small jumprings
  • 2 silver earring wires
  • Pritt Stick superstrength glue
  • File (to file the grip ends off to get the beads on)

Friday Sketchers 38



I'm surprised I have any energy left to craft after going snowboarding today... but I managed to use the Friday Sketchers sketch to make a digi page of of me today in my new snow gear with my new snowboard :) The colours I've used blend in with my gear too... all white, green, blue and black.. my board even has a cancer research rbbon on the top side!

Button Flower Brooches



Oooh I've been waiting to post these for a couple of days but I've had to behave and give the glue 24hrs to settle for each lil step of the way... So here's 3 of the button flower brooches I've been making over the last few days...
I've used:
  • 5 mother of pearl buttons
  • 5 green pearl buttons
  • 1 large silver pearl button
  • 1 shell star button
  • 1 shell flower button
  • 5 blue metal ring buttons
  • 1 blue plastic star button
  • 1 large black button
  • 1 chunky rim purple button
  • 3 felt circles (to attach the pins)
  • 3 badge pins

I can see myself making an absolute shed load of these in different colours and types of buttons... especially as I just got some new buttons and I'm always searching for unusual buttons :)

Dyl's new bed



So here's my lil woof's new travel bed.. it fits nicely into his box that he goes in the car and to the vets in.. the idea came from here... it's a no sew dog bed, well i had to sew the paw print on but it doesn't hold the bed together so it still counts as a no sew bed...

I've used:

  • 1m x 0.5m fleece
  • Black glitter felt
  • 2 ikea cushions
  • Black thread (to sew the paw print)

Today is..........



......... the relaunch of the Kaboodle Doodle challenge blog and the first challege has a Love theme to fit in with the latest kit that is being released... the kit is called Scribble and contains lots of valentines and love based papers and embellishments... the KD girls make lovely cards and once again I felt the need to go 'off piste' with my DT piece and avoid making a card.. just to be the odd one out lol... so I've made a love baton.. or love wand as it has been renamed by the KD gals...
